I often mention the food I’ve been cooking in my posts but I rarely include the recipes. In order to correct that oversight, I’ve decided to put them all together here. Well, nearly all. Some recipes will only ever be linked to in my posts back to the place I found them, particularly if I have found them on a blog. However, if I have made my own changes to those recipes, you will find them here.
How to navigate my filing system:
–Clicking on the links below will take you directly to the recipe.
–Once you are at the recipe, clicking on the title and/or photograph (where I’ve included a photography) will take you directly to where I posted about that recipe.
Soups & Starters
- Green Pea Soup — A smooth, rich pea soup — with the added goodness of ham or bacon — with an undertone of mint. It’s almost like Mother used to make.
- Sashimi Oysters — I used to say I hate oysters. These little beauties have almost convinced me I love them.
- Chilled Tomato Soup — This chilled tomato soup is thick and spicy and reminded me of a virgin mary sans celery stick (and alcohol). Perfect for a picnic, it would also be equally at home at a dinner party or as a refreshing first course on a summer evening.
- Prawn and Lemon Crostini — Yum. Just yum.
- White Bean Dip — The parsley adds a depth of flavour and brings a glorious, vibrant green to this dip. It looks and tastes wonderful.
- Irish soda bread — A dense, yeastless bread perfect with winter soup or simply spread with butter and a good marmalade.
- White Chocolate Cheesecake. Smooth and velvety and wickedly moreish, this cheesecake is perfect any time you want to bring the WOW! factor to the dinner party.
- Best Chocolate Mousse. Rich and smooth, incredibly simple to make and even easier to eat.
- Chocolate Torte. Rich. Lots of chocolate. And lots more chocolate. Eat with a crowd.
