A pair of tiger cubs and a pair of orangutans, abandoned by their mothers soon after birth, have bonded and now share sleeping and playing space at the Taman Safari Zoo in Bogor, Indonesia.
I wonder what happens when the tigers’ natural instinct kicks in?

As I looked at that picture, I too wondered about when the instincts come in. Somehow I’m not sure that zoo is doing completely right by those animals…though that is pretty cute.
It’s the orangutans I worry about, both as the tigers’ prey and as primates capable of forming attachment. What is going to happen when they are separated?
But, yes, it’s so, so cute.
