I first spotted this over at Charlotte’s and was tempted but the very bad inner voice, which has come out to play since I’ve had my cold, berated me and asked how could there possibly be five things about me…
This is me, telling that little voice where to go.
Five things you possibly might not know about me:
1. I have a piece of paper that says I have a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy). This degree has been only tangentially useful in my working life.
2. I spent a summer cataloguing my father’s collection and now know way more about beer cans than I’m really comfortable with.
3. I have a cushion on my couch that is much admired by visitors. When they ask where I bought it I take almost too much pride in saying “I crocheted it myself”. I learnt to crochet when I was seven and, while I might not pick up the hook and wool all that often, every time I do it feels comfortable.
4. I don’t drive. I’ve held a learner’s permit twice in my life and both times let it lapse. Public transport (and D) get me everywhere I need, and want, to go.
5. I was the reason the very experienced coach driver got lost in Amsterdam.
Oh dear, did I really say I know something about beer cans? Forget it. Please.

Oh Kerryn, This is great! I love knowing you have a working knowledge of beer labels. xo, BL
[...] (With thanks to Charlotte, Emily, Ms. Make Tea, Danielle, Kerryn, Litlove, Dorothy, Kate, RelaxedDad, LitKit, Helen and many other people who’ve disclosed far more interesting things about themselves than the fact that they can’t change the oil in the car!) [...]
BL: One day I hope to be able to use that knowledge, in some form. They seem an odd thing to collect but in some ways reflect social history as much as stamps might, recording events, commemorating people and reflecting changing attitudes.
